Announcement: Implementation of VAT

VAT is mandatory for businesses which have an annual turnover exceeding Ugx. 120,055,830 and Kyakabi Group Limited has been registered with the Uganda Revenue Authority as it fulfils this criteria.

Due to the proportion of commercial work we now do and in compliance with the VAT Act 2013, Kyakabi Group and its brands will be charging VAT at the specified rate of 16% on all applicable goods and services provided to our customers. This is expected to start from 1st March 2019.

We will also be providing VAT-compliant tax invoices to enable our customers to claim VAT input tax credits, where entitled.
